We are looking for a Senior/Chief Business Risk Officer, who will be a significant contributor to executing the work of the Business Controls & Product Management (BC&PM) Risk Partner team covering Fixed Income & FX.

The BC&PM Risk Partner team is part of the 1 Line of Defence (1LoD) Large Corporates & Institution (LC&I) business in Danske Bank and supports and advises the various LC&I business units on a range of BAU risk management and product management activities and ad hoc inquiries.

The objective of BC&PM is to support, advice and assist the bank’s business units in mitigating risks related to products, processes, and services across different risk areas/disciplines to bring value to customers and society.

Primary point of contact for key business stakeholders
As a Business Risk Officer, you will advise business stakeholders on the identification, assessment, and management of key risks within their areas. You will act as the primary point of contact for key business stakeholders, and other BC&PM teams on risk matters, and be their sparring partner on day-to-day risk issues, business controls or procedure improvements. The position is based in Copenhagen.

The key responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and advising the business on ad hoc day-to-day risk and control inquiries.
  • Engaging with the business on activities related to Regulatory Risk in line with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.
  • Supporting the business on tracking, scoping, mitigating, closing audit and compliance observations and risk mitigation acceptances.
  • Supporting the business on incidence registration, management, and escalation.

You will be delivering risk and controls assessment for new processes and process changes in collaboration with the business, while you also support the Business on delivering Business Impact Analysis and Business Continuity Plans.

You are likely to have:

  • Relevant degree in economics, law or finance discipline (or equivalent).
  • 5+ years of experience working with Non-Financial Risk Management, Compliance, or related field.
  • In-depth understanding of relevant regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
  • Experience in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance operational effectiveness and mitigate risks.

You have an analytical mind-set, strong focus on execution and a structured approach with high attention to detail and the ability to adapt quickly to change. You will have high integrity and a strong work ethic, with excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
