You will join a dynamic team in Converter Engineering at KK Wind Solutions as Senior Lead Engineer.

THE TEAM
The Converter Engineering department is responsible for developing, validating and implementing new design features together with Global Technology Service. The team delivers competitive products of green technology that fit customer needs. The customers are the leading wind turbine manufactures of the world.

Besides development projects, the Converter Engineering Department also plays a major role in the company’s overall value engineering focus and execute cost out projects on existing products. This is from finding the good idea, do the technical evaluation together with the customer and plan the relevant tests before implementation to the serial production.

You will become part of a multicultural department with colleagues located in Denmark, Germany, Poland, India and China. Your location will be at the Hammel offices, and you can expect 15-20 travel days per year.

THE POSITION
As the new Lead Engineer, you will be accountable for all technical aspects of the products.
You will:

• Provide direction and technical expertise in design, development, test and system interface.
• Instruct and guide the team of engineers through the development, implementation, integration and test stages and secure review of the completed work.
• Instruct and guide the project team in following the correct technical procedures, policies and documentation requirements for the specific project.
• Be the technical interface towards the customer together with the System Manager/Senior Specialist.
• Ensure that Technical Risk Management (D-FMEA) is maintained and communicated to internal and external stakeholder.
• Participate in external tests and FAI’s with customer.
• Ensure achieved knowledge is transferred and implemented as procedure for all new projects.
• Ensure that the NPD deliverables follow the KK quality standards.
• Be responsible for coordinating resource requirements with the project manager.
• Participate in making quotes for customer including making 3-point estimate, BOM’s and time plans.
• Ensure change management is maintained throughout the whole project.
• Ensure early involvement of NPI and DfX is implemented in documentation package towards NPI.
• Lead the implementation of new tools to improve NPD phase.

THE PERSON
We are looking for a candidate with a degree in Power Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other relevant fields, and with +5 years of experience with design engineering.
Moreover, experience with IEC62477, and experience and proven record in handling D-FMEA in design projects is mandatory. Experience within Technical Project Management is a plus.

The suited candidate is customer-oriented and possesses solid written and oral communications skills in English.
