About the role
We are looking for a Project Portfolio Manager for one of our client sites in greater Copenhagen. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and developing a portfolio consisting of cross-disciplinary projects of different sizes, ensuring their success and alignment with company and project goals and objectives. The right candidate has a strong background in people management, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for project and portfolio management.

Why do we need you?
With our fast-growing department and the increasing demand from our clients on site we need a new colleague in our portfolio management team. In your new role, you will have the daily management of the portfolio, ensure good alignment with stakeholders across the portfolio, and in collaboration with the portfolio management team set direction and align on best practices for project execution in portfolio projects. You will also work strategically with our account management team to develop the portfolio and build a pipeline of projects on the site.

How you might spend your days
As a Project Portfolio Manager, you’ll be

  • Providing management, leadership, and ensure all projects within the portfolio follow code of conduct and regulations.
  • Providing input for steering committee to CPH Portfolio Manager.
  • Implementing new tools and strategies in the portfolio.
  • Responsible for onboarding new portfolio members.
  • Facilitating project lessons learned.
  • Building good customer relations.
  • Executing smaller projects within cost, time & budget.
  • Collaborating with different stakeholders both internal and external to ensure efficient cooperation in the project teams.
  • Fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the portfolio management team.
  • Conducting regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and identify opportunities for development.
  • Manage the work environment in the portfolio office, both people management and physical environment.
  • Keep an overview of resources in ongoing projects and future resource needs.
  • A sparring partner to Project Managers executing portfolio projects.

The miles you’ve walked
In all positions there are some things that are needed, and others a bonus. We believe these qualifications are needed for you to do well in this role:

  • MSc or BSc degree in engineering or another technical education.
  • Experience within Project Management, preferably from an engineering or consultancy company.
  • A leadership background and experience from a similar position.
  • PMP certification, other certification, or a MSc or BSc within project management is preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience within in project management preferably in a project or engineering environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate, inspire, and develop team members.
  • Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry is a plus.
