Your role and responsibilities
The quality and innovation of the engineering in our products, systems and service offerings keeps our customers ahead. Developing solutions for our customers all over the world and working on our market-leading technologies will challenge and enrich your work and your mind. At ABB Metallurgy we produce electromagnetic stirrers to the steel and aluminum industries. Primary customers are steel and aluminum plants. As part of our team, you get to work with design of the electrical system for electromagnetic stirrers within steel and aluminum industry. In this important role, you will be a key-player to enable a smooth project execution that fulfills the customer requirements. • Your task will be to develop technical solutions, function as technical sales support and work with electrical design and automation. • Commissioning of Electromagnetic Stirrer systems • You have close contact with our own production, customers and subcontractors. • Making technical recommendations in the design, engineering, testing, installation, and commissioning phases of customer projects to ensure all actions are completed according to process requirements and standards. • Collaborating and networking with engineering colleagues, sharing best practice across different projects and disciplines. • Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.
Qualifications for the role
- A B.Sc or higher within electrical or automation engineering.
- Experience with electrical design and PLC programming.
- Good knowledge of electrical safety.
- Knowledge of database CAD environment.
- Speak and write fluently in English, Swedish is meritorious.
- A high level of self-motivation, curiosity, and desire to learn about new technologies.
- A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
