VIKING’s Global Finance Department comprises 80+ dedicated colleagues, located in Denmark and in Global Business Service, Finance in Bulgaria. We are overall responsible for VIKING’s financial reporting, using SAP as our major ERP platform.
During a significant growing of our department we are looking for a dedicated Junior Accountant to be part of our GBS, Finance team.
Based at our office in Plovdiv, Bulgaria you will report to the Finance Manager and be involved in aspects of accounting associated with the vendor transactions for VIKING entities across the globe.
Tasks and Responsibilities
In this role, you will work both independently and in cooperation with others. Following tasks can be expected:
- Review and process all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval, including matching PO’s to invoices
- Set up new vendor accounts
- Prepare and complete the company’s payments
- Fulfill day-to-day bank statement accounting
- Reconcile vendor statements and intercompany accounts
- Assist with all aspects of accounts payable functions associated with the vendor transactions, with specific focus on scanning and posting incoming invoices for VIKING entities in and outside Bulgaria
- Perform other special assignments related the job position
Your profile
Previous experience is not required but you need to have excellent theoretical knowledge in accounting principles. However experience in accounting is an advantage. The successful candidate also has:
- High school or university degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
- Very good MS Office capabilities
- Experienced with SAP is considered as an advantage
On a personal level we expect you to be responsive and positive, with a ‘can do’ attitude. Furthermore you are detail oriented and precise team player and always willing to learn.
Since our corporate language is English, you have great English skills – both written and orally.
