Carlsberg Marston’s Brewing Company (CMBC) is one of the leading, historic brewers in the UK. Formed out of a joint venture between Carlsberg UK and Marston’s PLC, we combine over 300 years of shared values, history, and heritage in UK brewing.

We are now recruiting for a Technical Brewer, so work closely within the Brewing team as we continue to innovate and deliver beers and ales.

What will you be doing?

• Provide technical brewing support to production operations (covering end to end of brewing process from raw materials through wort production, fermentation, and beer processing/filtration daily.
• Develop the technical capability within the production teams through effective coaching and creation of standard operating procedures.
• Lead, execute and deliver continuous improvement, and relevant existing product and new product development initiatives on site.
• Liaise with other entities of Carlsberg Group to provide technical support, and facilitate the creation, sharing and implementation of best practice and benchmarking standards, in line with the Carlsberg Operational Manual.
• Develop positive relationships with all interfacing departments through effective communication and feedback, to ensure consistent performance standards across the site,
• Be a role model and lead health, safety and environment initiatives on site.

What are we looking for?

• Previous experience in a Technical Brewing position.
• IBD Diploma in Brewing is a must and Master Brewer (or working towards preferred)
• Knowledge and experience of using Lean management systems.
• Excellent communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders and an ability to work with individuals, teams and management at all levels of the organisation.
• Proactive attitude and ability to multitask different projects at once.
• Full UK Driving License
• Full UK working rights.
