Context
A DevSecOps Engineer plays a crucial role in automating and streamlining the software delivery process, ensuring that development and operations teams work efficiently and collaboratively.

Your focus is on automation, continuous integration and deployment, infrastructure management, monitoring, and security, enabling Efficy to deliver software quickly, reliably, and securely.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and optimizing resource usage for scalability and cost-efficiency.
• Setting up tools and processes for continuous monitoring of applications and infrastructure.
• Ensuring secure configurations of CI/CD pipeline, cloud services, containers, and infrastructure.
• Providing technical support, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring timely resolution of incidents.
• Conducting vulnerability assessments and managing remediation efforts.
• Ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal security policies, like ISO 27001 and NIST.
• Evaluating and deploying security tools to enhance security posture.

Level and skills

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Typically, 3-5 years of experience in software development, IT operations, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, including continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), automation, and infrastructure management.
• Have adequate English writing and speaking skills
• Proficiency in languages such as Java, JavaScript
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Google Cloud Build, Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and on-premises infrastructure.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Proficiency with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, or New Relic.
• Proficiency with Git and version control practices.
• Proficiency in relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Microsoft SQL

Soft skills

• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Ability to work effectively within a team, understanding the dynamics and contributing to collective goals.
• Ability to adapt to changing requirements and environments
• Managing multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining quality and efficiency
• Proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
