Who we’re looking for
We are looking for an experienced and team-oriented Ceramics Specialist with an industry background. The assignment is to develop and upscale ceramic processes and products for solid oxide electrolyzer cells. Obtaining fired structures defined by electrochemical feedback is the primary technical objective.
Work may include both specifications for and commissioning of new equipment, adjusting or mapping known processes vs QC demands, and process implementation & validation. We have lab-bench scale equipment as well as larger units on pilot and semi-industrial scales and cooperate with both our pilot site in Ravnholm and our production site being erected in Herning. We have high safety and quality standards, and knowledge-sharing and documentation is mandatory.
You will be part of a team of 12 specialists and technicians, working on several tasks simultaneously. Tasks are defined in cooperation with peers based on the priorities given in various development projects and required support to pilot/production.
We enjoy a high degree of freedom to plan our daily work but should also expect a dynamic environment with changing priorities, deadlines and risk to navigate. We share the workload and expect mutual flexibility to get the job done.
The primary worksite is near Lyngby in Northern Copenhagen (DK), and the company language is English for reporting and in most meetings. Our department consists of individuals from diverse backgrounds, with approximately one-third being female and half representing foreign nationalities.
What you’ll bring
We are looking for you who have a minimum of 5 years of industrial experience (non-negotiable) working with technical ceramics with high specification demands. Education as scientist, engineer or similar within solid materials or similar. A Ph.D. is an advantage, but it is not a requirement.
Experience working with technical ceramic powders/suspensions, shaping techniques, and sintering of complex structures or multilayers is a major advantage.
Further, we are looking for an individual who has:
- Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A belief that good relations with several colleagues is paramount to having a good work life.
- Diligence, a structured approach and attention to detail.
- Experience working with attention to QHSE parameters is a plus.
Furthermore we are looking for someone who is cheerful, structured, practical, and enjoys 50% hands-on work.
Why join us
- Be part of the development and scaleup of PtX electrolyzer technology for the energy transition
- Work in-depth with a range of processes within ceramic manufacturing
- Skilled co-workers and a broad contact interface with production, pilot, analysis and development teams
- Be part of a larger company with potential for job rotation on a longer perspective
- We focus on team, job satisfaction as well as your education for this job and the next
Denmark is often highlighted as a safe and socially secure society with high standards for family life. If you are passionate about ceramic processing and microstructure and want to contribute to a sustainable future, we would love to hear from you.
