Controller – Controls and Business Process Specialist

Your new team
You will join the Financial Controlling team with 23 colleagues based in Denmark and a larger global Finance department who just exceeded 100 colleagues in total, divided into six sub-departments and located across eight offices; Denmark, Germany, Poland, Lithuania, Italy, US, Brazil, and Australia.

The team’s primary tasks are financial reporting to the group and local authorities for the ~800 legal entities in our group. Moreover, we participate in the process of buying, selling, and creating new companies. We work closely together with Accounting and Group Controlling, and we also have many stakeholders across the organization, including Project Development, Project Economy, and Asset Management.

Your new role
As our new colleague, your primary task will be to work with securing internal controls and business processes when expanding and automating. You will work with a variety of improvement projects related to digitalising and standardising our current workflows in coordination with colleagues from the other finance teams and IT. You will also offer business support to finance colleagues and other internal stakeholders in e.g. Procurement.

A typical day

  • You drive and project manage improvement projects in Finance independently and in collaboration with other stakeholders.
  • You improve period end tasks as well as internal and external reporting processes.
  • You review existing workflows and processes and take the lead in optimising them.

Prerequisites to thrive in the job
To thrive in this position, we imagine that you have a solid toolbox and great technical understanding of systems and digital solutions. You have good communication and interpersonal skills, and enjoy using your project management competencies in the collaboration with many stakeholders.

Moreover, we expect that:

  • You have +5 years of experience working in a Finance department with business controlling or finance support to the business.
  • You have ideally worked in a manufacturing company and been involved with inventory, production, and quality management systems.
  • You have experience with writing business procedures and driving improvement projects.
  • You have good analytical skills and an understanding of how to use Power BI.
  • You are fully proficient in English.
