ROLE DESCRIPTION
In your role as our Group Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in shaping, developing, and optimizing our company's activities within Group Finance. Based at our Copenhagen headquarters, you will collaborate closely with a team of 6 employees in Denmark.
As the Group Financial Controller, you will report directly to the Group CFO and be responsible for driving the end-to-end process of month, quarter, and year-end closings. Your expertise in financial strategies, compliance with IFRS, and governance will be essential in establishing an efficient internal control environment.
Primary duties and responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to):
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in the development, optimization, and automation of finance functions, including digitalization, in close collaboration with the CFO.
- Spearhead the end-to-end process of month, quarter, and year-end closings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Actively participate in the budgeting and forecasting preparation for the Group, placing strong emphasis on data quality and data analysis.
- Collaborate with Group Finance to execute tasks related to treasury and cash management, ensuring effective financial operations.
- Ensure correct internal and external reporting, including IFRS compliance.
- Support the implementation of risk and compliance frameworks.
- Actively contribute to the annual audit process, providing valuable insights and cooperation.
- Contribute to the organization's growth by involvement in mergers and acquisitions, offering financial expertise and strategic guidance.
- Serve as a trusted partner to the CFO and the finance function, providing valuable insights and recommendations.
- Undertake ad-hoc tasks as necessary, showcasing flexibility and adaptability.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MSc in Business Administration and Auditing (Cand.merc.aud) or Graduate Diploma (HD (R)).
- Previous experience in a role as a Group Financial Controller or a similar position.
- Possess a strong financial toolbox and demonstrate expertise in financial controlling and reporting.
- Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Experience in ensuring governance, efficient processes, and internal controls.
- Possess strong communication skills to effectively interact with multiple stakeholders across the organization.
- Passionate about contributing to the creation of an efficient finance function that adds value to the business.
- Strong Excel skills, ability to develop and maintain reports.
- Have a hands-on mentality and ability to meet deadlines without compromising on quality.
- Proactive and comfortable taking the lead as a proactive sounding board for the organization.
- Fluent in spoken and written Danish and English.
- Knowledge of Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) is a plus.
