Data Architect for Quantum Foundry

Novo Nordisk Fonden

Data Architect for Quantum Foundry

Description
Do you want to be a part of a pioneering company in the world-class quantum ecosystem at the heart of Copenhagen? We now have a unique opportunity to join our team as a Data Architect. You will be driving a wide range of exciting projects.

Quantum Foundry Copenhagen is a newly founded company, owned by the Novo Nordisk Foundation (NNF), aimed at developing next generation Quantum Computing Processor technologies.

About us
We are assembling a team of talented and diverse international professionals. We are adjacent to the Niels Bohr Institute in the heart of Copenhagen. As part of the vibrant and growing Danish quantum ecosystem we collaborate closely with world-leading researchers in the Novo Nordisk Foundation Quantum Computing Programme (NQCP). The program is a full-stack quantum computing program working on developing scalable quantum processor technologies to solutions for the quantum-classical control and readout interface, and all the way to quantum algorithms and applications.

The job
Together with NQCP, we have successfully established a Data Team. This innovative team has designed and launched a unified data platform for the program. QF CPH is leading the data platform development, and since it's still the early days for the platform, a Data Architect will have the opportunity to impact the architecture design and the working culture within the Data Team.

We are deeply committed to leveraging data, and we mean it - pushing the boundaries of what's possible in quantum computing.

In your new role, you will be working on the newly established data platform, which serves as the backbone for both NQCP research and QF CPH. You will join the Data Team, which plays a pivotal role in shaping data-driven approaches and the data structure of the entire program.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Further develop and design newly established data platform hosted in Microsoft Fabric and Azure services
  • Develop new integration from various NQCP and QF CPH sources, ensuring data consistency and accuracy
  • Build analytics and reporting on top on the data platform with robust data models, ensuring alignment with different stakeholders’ requirements
  • Support in-house software components developed by QF CPH engineers to ensure that solutions have structured databases and can easily be integrated with the data platform
  • Implement security setup for the data platform to support security requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and meet data requirements

Professional and personal qualifications
We are looking for a dedicated Data Architect with great communication skills. Your colleagues would describe you as analytical, structured, and curious. You are a team-player and work to develop the best solutions with input from highly skilled colleagues in interdisciplinary fields.

We imagine that you have:

  • At least 4 years 'hands on’ experience in developing data platforms or data warehouse solutions, preferably in Microsoft Azure
  • Experience in project management, with a track record of successful project delivery
  • Strong proficiency in data modelling
  • Experience with data integration, ETL processes, and data governance
  • In-depth knowledge of data security principles and best practices
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python is preferred; proficiency in DAX is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Experience in Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines is considered a significant asset.

We offer
We strive to be a world-leading foundry and offer competitive salaries along with the many benefits of living in Copenhagen – one of the most vibrant cities in the world. Benefits also include health insurance, a pension scheme and a chance to contribute to a dynamic and innovative team.

We work closely with researchers and scientists to develop new technology, but as a company we do not publish research. The level of the position and the scope of responsibilities will be based on experience and background.

Employment is contingent upon a clean background check and security clearance.
