Product Owner for Developer Advocacy

Danske Bank

We are excited to announce the new position of Product Owner for the new Developer Advocacy squad within the Developer Experience Tribe.
The Developer Experience tribe offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the productivity and satisfaction of developers here at Danske Bank.

We are excited to announce the new position of Product Owner for the newly established Developer Advocacy squad within the Developer Experience Tribe.

With the announcement of the Developer Advocacy squad within the Tribe, this role is vital to our increased strategic emphasis on enhancing our engagements and support to the developer community. We are looking for a dynamic leader to quickly establish, spearhead and deliver great results with this new squad.

As the Product Owner of the Developer Advocacy squad, you will be at the forefront of creating an engaging and effective environment for developer co-creation and communication. Your primary responsibility will be to formalize, structure and improve the developer engagements/experience, ensuring that the Tribe’s products, services, and processes align with the needs and expectations of developers, with a positive effect in awareness and adoption.

Joining us means being part of a dynamic and forward-thinking team where you can contribute your expertise, learn from others, and play a crucial role in shaping the future of software development within the organization.

As Product owner, you will equally set-up and drive engagement, agile practices, and planning within your squad. You will manage squad members’ priorities, balance workloads and provide necessary management reporting/updates.

You will also establish and execute a cohesive plan for how the Tribe engages with both developers and managers to ensure we can deliver on our ambitious ambitions. This also implies ensuring internal alignment in the Tribe as well as the managing of communication channels and establishment of forums/routine touchpoints for stakeholder collaboration and feedback.

As this squad was just announced, you will be responsible for building and leading a new squad, that can efficiently and effectively establish developer advocacy – both within the Tribe and externally towards the developer community and management layers.

Furthermore, you will…

  • be responsible for developing, operationalizing, and managing the developer advocacy strategy and roadmap and ensure we are on track with key milestones.
  • implement a developer-driven feedback model that supports a bottom-up communication and prioritization structure. This will include orchestrating dialogue with upper-level management to address and discuss developer feedback effectively.
  • formalize, structure, and enable developer co-creation by assessing current initiatives and implementing co-creation models, e.g. Inner Sourcing.

What do you bring
We imagine you have proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role, usually in an Agile development environment. You bring leadership skills with the ability to build, guide, and inspire a team, and you have great focus on ability to set direction, communicate priorities and collaboration.

  • Master's degree or equivalent in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Customer focused, ideally with proven success in enhancing developer experiences.
  • Good strategic planning abilities, and the ability to covey strategy to executable actions. This includes roadmap development and conducting large-scale projects.
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, as well as developers and management.
  • High problem-solving and decision-making abilities to manoeuvre in ambiguity, as well as an analytical mindset to make data-driven decisions
  • Ability to thrive in a high pace environment with high level of empowerment and responsibility.

The location of the position is in Denmark, which implies that you must be physically located in Denmark and able to work from the Copenhagen office.
This role does not include a relocation allowance.

What we offer
You will benefit from a highly attractive benefits package offering health and dental insurance, pension and other benefits. You will have flexible work hours, 6 weeks of vacation and 5 care days to ensure your work-life balance.

Eager to be part of this thrilling journey? Then we look forward to hearing from you, and kindly ask that you attach your CV and a compelling Cover Letter that reveals why you envision yourself thriving in this role.

As ambitions and eagerness to get started are high, please apply as soon as possible, as we conduct interviews on an ongoing basis and will hire the right candidate once found.
