Our client, Flowvision A/S, is a French-owned Danish-based company founded in 2006, specializing in design and delivery of advanced emission reduction systems around the world. POSITION OVERVIEW:
As Engineering Manager, you are responsible for leading, motivating and developing a mixed team of highly qualified and talented employees to ensure the best possible efficiency in project progress and in the design and supply of state of the art emission abatement systems. Reporting to the CEO you will be a key member of the Management Team at Flowvision.
You will lead the technical team (8 persons) consisting of mechanical and chemical engineers as well as other technically educated profiles. As Engineering Manager you are in charts of design/development of costumer designed systems, which causes ongoing work with comprehensive project plans that specify the project’s scope, objectives, timelines, milestones, deliverables, control etc. Manufacturing takes place at collaboration partners/workshops around the world. The place of work is Odense.
FURTHER KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Motivate and develop your team. Foster a team environment where diverse perspectives are valued
- Allocate resources effectively in close collaboration with project managers to ensure project tasks are completed on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams/individuals to ensure all aspects of the project are aligned and integrated.
- Represent the engineering team in meetings and presentations, advocating for their needs and accomplishments.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase product quality. Lead initiatives to streamline workflows and eliminate bottlenecks throughout the process
- Identify skill gaps and development needs, creating personalized development plans for team members.
ABOUT YOU:
An experienced Engineering Manager who excels both operationally and managerially. You must be willing to take on multiple responsibilities and be flexible in your approach.
Ideally you will possess a mix of strong leadership skills and technical knowledge with solid production experience.
You have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field (a master’s degree is preferred) and a minimum of 7 years of experience in engineering management with a focus on manufacturing and project management. Proven experience in the design and supervision of large equipment manufacturing.
Through your previous experience, you have strong team management skills with a track record of building and nurturing high-performing teams.
FURTHER PROVIDED SKILLS:
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results through the team.
- Superior problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
- Ideally, experience with air pollution control systems, especially NOx reduction, will be a plus.
- Fluent in Danish and English both verbal and in writing.
