Vice President, Engineering & Projects (Business Unit 2)
For KK Wind Solutions A/S (KKWS) we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President, Engineering & Projects for their Business Unit 2 (BU2). This executive role will be instrumental in advancing the expansion of both BU2 and KKWS as a whole. Joining KKWS means becoming part of a rapidly expanding organization set for continued success. In 2023 alone, the total turnover reached DKK 5.5 billion, marking a remarkable 100% increase from the previous year. Looking ahead KKWS anticipates further substantial growth.

Purpose of Position:
As the Vice President, Engineering & Projects, BU2 you will manage the end-to-end product delivery function in Business Unit 2 – including Product Development (NPD) and Project Management of all new customer product development projects. This includes the NPI phase and Product Lifecycle management, i.e. Product Maintenance.

You will have direct reference from 2 Directors and together with them you will guide an organization of 40+ FTE, taking on the responsibility for customer oriented engineering development projects and as member of the BU management team assist the Business Division’s CCO in strategic decision-making. Besides being part of the BU management team you will as VP also be part of the SLG (Global Senior Management Team) at KKWS.

Areas of Responsibilities:
As Vice President, Engineering & Projects BU2 you will always have knowledge of the on-going technology and development projects within the division. Specifically your responsibilities are:

  • Engineering Leadership: Oversee design and innovation processes, competency mapping, and development. Manage design tools, methodologies, and configuration management, ensuring adherence to quality standards and efficient warranty case handling.
  • Project Management Excellence: Direct full-cycle NPD and NPI phases, ensuring on-time delivery, adherence to budget, and product performance targets. Drive project execution and oversee product cost management in close collaboration with the customer.
  • Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the BU management team and contribute to strategic decision-making for development projects. Participate actively in the BU’s Strategy Development and Execution, preparing materials for board-level decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Drive customer engagement initiatives, conduct performance business reviews, and contribute to M&A activities. Foster positive relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally.

Professional Competences:
The relevant candidates will preferably have an engineering background supplemented with an MBA or similar. Above all we value solid experience and positive track-record with the core processes of product development and project management.

Key qualifications include:

  • Experience: Demonstrated executive-level leadership in product development and project management. Strong track record of driving organizational change and achieving results.
  • Skills: Proficient in the engineering and project management disciplines, people management, financial management, and organizational change management.
  • Language: Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential due to the KKWS global presence.

Additional Requirements:

  • Availability: Flexible schedule with occasional travel (approximately 30 days annually) required.
  • Location: Primary workplace at KKWS headquarters in Ikast and Hammel, Denmark.
