How you will make an impact
Your main goal is to develop new products, line extensions or optimize existing products within the mozzarella category. As such, you will be leading/ participating in product and process development projects of varying size and, with hands on approach, you will drive the activities from start to finish. This role puts you in a unique position to have a major impact on the future success of the organization.

We need you to be a technical specialist, but also have the ability to think strategically and work closely with business stakeholders. Other main responsibilities will include:

• Develops and designs new products which meet and exceed consumer expectations vs competitors, giving Arla real commercial advantage.
• Leads new product development initiatives, ensuring timely achievement of milestones throughout the stage gate process, and maintains comprehensive documentation in systems/tools for successful product launch, collaborating with end-to-end organization.
• Does cost /value engineering of new and existing products by working with local and global marketers, suppliers, supply chain and other stakeholders.
• Utilizes foundational knowledge of food and/or dairy science, ingredients, and recipe development to deliver optimal product and process development. Is able to implement new products and recipes on Arla sites.
• Takes a lead role in product and process-related development projects, working closely with commercial and supply chain teams, as well as other relevant functions. This includes planning, executing, evaluating and documenting trails and experiments at lab, pilot and production scale.
• Solves problems related to product quality and safety.
• Conducts comprehensive feasibility studies to secure recipe implementation, including recipe finalization, quality assurance, and compliance with legal requirements.
• Acts as a strong technical backup and sparring partner, providing expertise on all product aspects.

What will make you successful
You are a creative problem solver, who is driven by curiosity to deeply understand customer challenges and deliver product solutions that will delight them. You have an education at Bachelor’s or Master’s level in Food Science and Technology, Dairy Technology or similar. You have been working 7+ years within food product development, and an important share of that time within dairy; if you have experience with processing equipment within food or cheese manufacturing, you will get a head start.

Cross functional project management experience is important as well as being hands on. You are curious about process technology and its impact in product taste and functionality- you enjoy spending time in pilot plant, on site, in labs as you know this is where the magic happens, through relentless experimentation.

You must be fluent in English (verbal and written) in order to navigate in an international environment. (Danish is advantageous, but not mandatory to fulfil the role).

Finally, you are good at communicating clearly, building personal relations both across organizational levels & functions as well as externally.
