Join us in a role where you’ll become Senior Commercial Manager/ Lead Commercial Manager within our fast-growing Asia-Pacific region. You’ll be responsible for the commercial management of Ørsted’s offshore wind projects in Seoul and be responsible for the development of our pipeline opportunities across APAC markets. Your deliverables will cover the negotiation and implementation of commercial agreements, managing internal approval processes, business case optimisation, project strategy, and general reporting.

You’ll be part of APAC Commercial and Project Development department. where you, together with your colleagues, will optimize the business cases for our Kor3ean offshore wind farms and work closely with the global teams. You’ll play an important role in:

  • driving negotiations with local stakeholders on commercial agreements, such as the fishing gear removal, compensation, ect. You’ll also be responsible for understanding and negotiating commercial terms by coordinating with both internal and external stakeholders to achieve the necessary agreements for successful and timely project development
  • supporting the management of tender submission for substation land, cable routes, port property, and other lease agreements required, together with our Land & Property team, real estate consultants, and lawyers
  • establishing commercial coexistence plan for enhancing local stakeholders’ acceptance, such as Community Benefit Fund and Resident Participatory Plan for our offshore wind projects in Korea
  • ensuring an up-to-date overview of development costs under commercial packages and register of project commitments; preparing steering committee and project gate materials required for internal approvals and support bid or partnership strategy and drafting the commercial and financial section of the bid document
  • lead and manage the commercial aspects of joint ventures, ensuring alignment with our strategic goals and financial targets as well as act as the primary point of contact for JV partners, ensuring clear and effective communication across all stakeholders
  • oversee the preparation and negotiation of JV agreements, contracts, and other related documents; provide commercial input into the development of JV partnerships; facilitate regular JV meetings, preparing agendas, and ensuring the outcomes is followed.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have substantial experience in a role that required a strong commercial mindset with the ability to demonstrate exceptional analytical skills and understanding of project management
  • are independent, able to manage multiple commercial strategies and workstreams, and can build and mature strong relationships with both internal and external parties
  • can drive negotiations with key stakeholders and are familiar with project governance and compliance processes
  • are self-driven with a “can do” mindset and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • have experience with Korean energy project consenting, preferably renewable or large-scale power generation projects
  • have a strong understanding of local dynamics and culture and demonstrate the ability to think globally and work collaboratively across cultures and are fluent in both Korean and English.
