Senior Chief Specialist in Offshore Construction

Join us in this role where you’ll take on a pivotal role in providing technical leadership and direction for our offshore wind projects. Your primary responsibilities include overseeing technical readiness and “installability” for offshore installation and to some extent for commissioning and fabrication to help ensure the successful execution and installation of the project. You will also act as the principal advisor to top administration and senior specialists. You’ll be instrumental in shaping the installation technology strategy, driving innovation, and validating technical solutions to support our global offshore wind initiatives.

You’ll be part of the Offshore Construction & Logistics management team where you, together with your colleagues, will collaborate closely with a global team of specialists and senior leads todrive innovation, ensure technical excellence for installation and execution, and provide strategic technical leadership for our offshore wind projects. You’ll play an important role in:

  • providing technical and Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) sign-off on both project development and asset projects
  • driving strategic installation development for new global market entry
  • formulating and defining installation technology strategy with stakeholder input and EPCand executive committee (ExComm) approval
  • validating technical solutions in challenge and gate review sessions to support sound business decisions
  • advising on technical solutions providing decision makers with the technical information necessary to make sound business decisions
  • nominating discipline technical authority where relevant and ensure close collaboration and development of senior lead specialist under construction.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have strong technical leadership experience in offshore wind projects
  • exhibit a proven track record of strong project installation experience encompassing comprehensive knowledge from international projects, as well as direct experience across all stages of large-scale offshore infrastructure construction projects
  • display exceptional proficiency in collaborative stakeholder management, adeptly building connections between teams with an empathetic and inclusive approach, while remaining steadfast in asserting your viewpoints
  • demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities in dynamic and complex environments
  • are experienced in providing technical oversight and sign-off for large-scale projects
  • have a proactive and methodical approach towards your work tasks whilst ensuring alignment on overall scope is in focus.
