Global Risk management (GRM) is a leading provider of customised price risk hedging solutions in the Energy space. As a wholly owned subsidiary of United Shipping and Trading Company (USTC), a worldwide conglomerate specialising in oil and biofuel supply and trading, shipping and logistics, risk management, IT and other services.
GRM offer clients access to the Energy markets via OTC Bilateral credit facilities to effectively manage their price exposures. Energy products include financial derivatives of crude oil and refined products, gas, carbon, biofuels, coal, freight and power markets. Headquartered in Middelfart, Denmark with offices in Copenhagen and Singapore and presence in Houston and London.
Your key responsibilities
TheSenior Sales and Origination in Energy Derivatives recruit will be based in our Singapore office and will play a pivotal role in driving the business growth in the APAC region by identifying, acquiring and onboarding suitable clients for GRM’s Energy price hedging solutions business.
Origination and Sales:
- Developing a new client portfolio by proactively identifying and targeting clients in various segments who can benefit from GRM's hedging and risk management solutions in the Energy space.
- If possible, bring an existing client portfolio to GRM.
- Networking and meeting with relevant client stakeholders. Includes travel in the region.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
- Manage the onboarding process with the help of the specialised teams within the organisation.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at the prospective client organizations throughout client life cycle.
Work closely with the execution and trading teams to ensure a smooth experience for clients.
Business Development:
Assist the local and global management teams to formulate new business proposal and strategies when required.
Support and interact with local colleagues in the larger group for cross selling opportunities across physical and financial markets.
Requirements:
- A good salesperson with a minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience and a creative and commercial mindset, and with the relevant background within the Energy markets.
- The person should be proactive, entrepreneurial and have a keen understanding of managing the relevant stakeholders both internal and external.
- Experience in the APAC region for Energy Derivatives sales within a financial institution or a trading company, with a proven track record of building and managing a client portfolio.
- In-depth market and product knowledge, including the technical aspects of the business such as instruments, trading systems, terminology, and regulatory aspects.
- Proven ability to be self-driven and take responsibility for achieving team goals.
