Product Management Engineer

MagVenture is an established medical device company specialized in the TMS technology (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation), which is rapidly being adopted for treatment and investigation of a number of difficult mental and physical disorders such as depression and pain.

The job
You will become part of the global Product Management team. The team has an important and central role in both the development of new products and the lifecycle management of existing products. This includes participating in the Design and Development process as well as being part of the commercial organization supporting with product technical information.

Most of the daily work will be done in close cooperation with a broad set of colleagues in R&D, Sales, Marketing, Technical Support, RA, QA and more.

Tasks
You will be involved in the entire product development process from the early idea phase, through product planning and development to market implementation and throughout the lifetime. You will:

• Be part of the innovation by scoping new products via collection of user needs and technology scouting.
• Be part of the development teams providing commercial inputs, coordinating with stakeholders and preparing for market introduction.
• Support the product life cycle with product optimization, change communication, internal and external training and answering product related questions.
• Participate in product and application launches taking the product to the market.
• Responsible for gathering and analyzing customer feedback to secure proper handling of issues.
• Participate in selected conferences and advanced installations worldwide.
• Responsible for cross-functional communication including R&D, marketing, sales, clinical, and regulatory departments.
• Travel 40-60 days/year worldwide.

Qualifications
We acknowledge a broad set of backgrounds but typically look for:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, physics or other life science related education e.g. biomedical or similar
• Interest and experience within medical device product development.
• Experience with collecting customer feedback to improve products and customer satisfaction.
• Experience from participating in design validation, risk management and usability activities is a plus.
• Knowledge of medical device regulations and regulatory approval processes (e.g. FDA, CE, ISO 13485).
• Ability to conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify market needs, opportunities, and threats.
• Good communication skills in both written and spoken English (Danish is a plus but not a requirement).

The degree of experience will define the seniority of the positions.
