Ibsen is a global leader in design and manufacture of transmission gratings and spectrometers used by major global scientific, medical, industrial, and pharmaceutical instrument manufacturers, primarily located in North America, Europe and Asia/Pacific.

You’ll be part of an organisation that has five-doubled its sales since 2014, to reach 150 MDKK in 2023, and employ 75 people at our R&D and manufacturing facility close to Copenhagen, Denmark. We have ambitious plans to grow the business further, and need your help!

The role of the Grating team
At Ibsen Photonics, we manipulate fused silica in order to create fantastic products – new to us and new to the world. We consider this our core technology and competence. We continuously work to gain a deeper understanding of both materials, equipment and processes.

Key processes that the Grating team masters:

• Product Design
• Lithography (Including DUV and Holographic exposure)
• Dry etching (RIE & ICP)
• Optical and physical characterization of end product
• Dicing & Visual inspection
• Data gathering and analysis (LabView, MatLab, VBA, Python, SQL, JMP)
• Commissioning of advanced custom equipment

Your background and skills
We are looking for this type of profile:

• Specific insight and experience with nanofabrication and/or free space optics
• Skilled engineer with at least 5+ years experience from industrial production
• Hands-on and curious mindset regarding process development and understanding
• A structured and fact based approach in your work

• You speak and write English fluently, and you are willing to learn Danish, if you don’t master it already
