You have.…

• A "Can Do" attitude and a drive to get things done
• Curiosity and passion for modern cloud-scale architectures, and a passion for sharing and inspiring your colleagues
• A strong background in software development and a sound understanding of software craftmanship, preferably with strong Java/Spring Boot or C#/.NET background
• Experience in leading technology transformations in collaboration with team(s) of Software Engineers
• Public Cloud and Cloud-Native skills: You’ve got microservices and container-based development skills that would make even Kubernetes jealous
• Fluency in English

Experience from open source is a plus – we can’t wait to see what you’ve built! And hey, don’t worry, we’ll keep the PowerPoint presentations to a minimum (we know that’s what nightmares are made of!).

Who are we?
Digital Core is a Tribe of almost 200 colleagues, organized in 20 cross-functional teams across Denmark and India, all committed to delivering modern and scalable APIs for both external customers of Danske Bank and internal consumers of our core domains: Customers and Accounts. We are part of the Core Capabilities cluster in the TECH organization where you will play a crucial role influencing and working with stakeholders across the group.

We are on a mission to build a world class core bank that is simple, easy-to-use, and comes with a world-class developer experience built in. Our tech stack is mainly based on the Java-ecosystem, some C#/.NET and Typescript/React, Kafka, AWS, and Kubernetes. We believe in Cloud-Native, dockerization, domain-driven design, and have a high bar for test and automation.

We are a distributed agile team of IT professionals working closely together in an informal atmosphere valuing a flat hierarchy and productive, open discussions.

How do you fit in?
We are currently scaling our tribe to support our journey to modernize our tech stack in Danske Bank and looking for a Software Architect to be the foundation of this journey.

As a Software Architect, you will be responsible for solving technical problems, you will also be a full-fledged member of a team developing APIs and other critical components, reducing legacy by introducing modern technologies, but also running and maintaining current legacy applications.

We believe that a great Software Architect is a playing coach/mentor, which leads by example, through hands-on developing high-quality code as well as supporting and inspiring your chapter members to grow and improve.

This is the chance to have a significant role in designing and building innovative solutions to support our transformation journey.
