Your new team - at a glance
You will be part of our highly motivated Project Development Team, which handles the planning and development of our projects across the entire country. We are a small and agile team, consisting of seven full-time employees in Riga and one employee located in Copenhagen. We value mutual respect, have fun working with and learning from each other, and are motivated by our goal to make the green energy transition in Latvia happen. We are part of bigger family in Baltics. Across all three countries we are approximately 32 colleagues located in Tallin, Riga and Vilnius. In cooperation with the local development team in Latvia, you will contribute to the development of our wind, solar, and Power-to-X development projects, which will allow you to quickly become familiar with socio-economic, technical as well as administrative details of our renewable energy assets and contribute to managing internal and external workstreams and stakeholders.

Your new role
As our new Project Manager your focus will be on developing and handling our wind, solar (PV) and power storage projects in Latvia. We expect to expand the team as the pipeline grows, which will bring interesting opportunities to this role.

Your focus will be managing our projects in our projects pipeline in various stages, to ensure that we are well coordinated and on top of all the issues relevant to the development, financing and construction of renewable assets. You will participate in market and project development and elaborate stakeholder overviews. You will liaise with local suppliers throughout the project lifecycle in close cooperation with other Baltic region offices and headquarters.

Areas of Responsibilities

  • Manage the project development process moving the projects from inception to the ready to build (RTB) status and handing it over to the construction work
  • Handle the development process, prepare and submit project applications and documentation to relevant authorities
  • Engage the engineering, environment, procurement, and construction experts from European Energy organization as well as external service providers
  • Develop the project development expenses budgets and follow its execution
  • Screen and identify land plots and potential areas for renewable energy development projects
  • Negotiate and lead towards signing the land lease agreements with landowners
  • Evaluate new greenfield, brownfield, and Ready to Build wind, solar (PV) and power storage projects
  • Develop an overview and engage in establishing of connections with stakeholders
  • Maintain an efficient dialogue with key stakeholders
  • Participate in overall renewable energy market development
  • Liaison with local suppliers throughout the project lifecycle in close collaboration with HQ in Denmark.

Your Profile

  • You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree at university level or an equivalent education within engineering, environment engineering, business management, economics
  • You have significant experience at least 3 years from renewable energy development, engineering, or corporate finance, alternatively public administration within planning/energy
  • You are proficient in English and Latvian and perhaps also in German
  • You are skilled in MS Office
  • You may have knowledge of/interest in working with GIS and project management tools and software
  • You have a driving license.
