IT Change manager (senior)

We are searching for an IT Change Manager

This position is based in our friendly office in Warsaw. You will join our OPS Process Enablement team, which is split equally between Poland and Denmark, with a total of 12 colleagues. The team is responsible for Change Management, Service Asset and Configuration Management, Request Fulfillment, Governance of BEC’s Business Processes, and Service Delivery to our customers. We handle daily operations and maintenance (O&M) and aim to take a data-driven approach in all decisions. We focus on optimizing, automating, and creating simplified processes supported by our newly implemented data model in our CMDB (ongoing program we are supporting).

All our ITIL processes are supported by ServiceNow as our ITSM tool. We are the first line of defense, ensuring all processes are risk-mitigated and compliant with relevant ISO-standards and legislation.

The Change Manager role offers team collaboration with two other Change Managers and a strong team with high engagement and peer collaboration scores in our BEC Pulse. We are working on a more mature CMDB for the benefit of our customers, BEC, and our Change Managers, improving risk mitigation and planning of changes in a more robust, secure, and simplified approach.

At BEC, we prefer to collaborate often in the office, but we also offer the opportunity to work remotely

up to eight days per month
. Your direct manager will be Sys Mortensen.

Primary task and responsibilities include:

  • Manage the end-to-end IT Change Management process, including planning, coordination, and execution of changes.
  • Handling daily operation of change queue, CAB meetings etc.
  • Continuously improve and optimize Change Management processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members and stakeholders on Change Management best practices.
  • Monitor and report on the status of changes, ensuring timely and accurate communication to all stakeholders.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of all Change Management activities and processes.
  • Establish, facilitate, and drive CAB meetings where needed.
  • Collaborate with Change Managers, Process Manager, Domain Architects and stakeholders in BEC and with our vendors.
  • Travel between the offices a couple of times per year.

To succeed you will have:

  • A curious mind with an open nature and desire to knowledge-share with others.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Min. +5 years working as a Change Manager
  • Structured approach (deliver within agreed deadlines)
  • Strong written documentation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

It’s nice-to-have:

  • Knowledge of risk and compliance regulations and standards relevant to the fintech industry.
  • ITIL Foundation and best practice
  • Experience in a ITIL role as a Process Manager, preferably within the fintech industry.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
