About bit about your new role:
This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our procurement strategy within the secondary packaging category.

As Group Category Manager, you will be at the forefront of driving strategic sourcing initiatives, fostering key supplier relationships, and ensuring alignment with Royal Unibrew's growth and sustainability ambitions.

Your role will be pivotal in delivering cost savings, operational efficiencies, and innovation across the value chain.

Key responsibilities & tasks:

  • Achieve financial targets and other key performance indicators (KPIs) for the function and group.
  • Define and execute multi-year group category strategies for secondary packaging, including multipacks, corrugates, labels, and shrink films, in collaboration with market teams and stakeholders.
  • Standardize category management, sourcing, and contract management processes. Drive best practices across market teams, including the optimization of eSourcing and the introduction of digital tools for cost modeling and benchmarking.
  • Develop and maintain strategic supplier partnerships to drive operational efficiencies, digital innovation, and sustainability initiatives across the group.
  • Ensure close collaboration with market leaders and procurement teams to align business strategies with a sustainable supplier network.
  • Leverage your knowledge of the external supplier landscape, commodities, industry best practices, digitalization, automation, and EU legislative environments to proactively identify opportunities and manage risks.

We hope you recognize your self in the below:

  • Bachelor’s degree: Professional CIPS qualification or similar is highly regarded.
  • Minimum 5 years of procurement experience in packaging categories within an international or matrixed organization. Experience in the CPG, food, and beverage industry is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation abilities, with a solid understanding of procurement processes, ERP systems, and procurement tools. Commodity management experience is essential.
  • Proven ability to manage risk and enhance supply chain resilience.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the gravitas and ability to influence senior stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Collaborative team player with a service-oriented mindset, yet unafraid to challenge the status quo when necessary.
  • Demonstrated success in project and change management, with a track record of initiating and embedding change.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Energized by challenges and complexity, with a solution-oriented approach and a passion for team and talent development.
