Job Description
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineering leader who is looking for significant professional growth at an organisation with an award-winning culture for creativity, client impact and openness. Your role will carry a core focus on defining and delivering architectural solutions, structuring technology and engineering teams and managing large-scale technical delivery. You will also be responsible for thought leadership, driving the adoption of modern architecture and technology trends such as Headless, Microservices, Cloud, DevOps and innovative engineering transformation at scale. Along with driving best fit solutions for our clients, you will also work closely with business development leads, client partners and programme delivery managers to realise new business opportunities and help grow client accounts.

Your Impact
You will work closely with senior stakeholders to pitch, design and deliver solutions that will transform our clients’ businesses, while also assuming the role of technical delivery lead for large scale geographically distributed engineering teams. Your key strengths will be in leading large-scale technical strategy, design, planning and delivery, driving best practices adoption, and ensuring the growth of teams and talent. You will also pride yourself in contributing thought leadership and in helping to instil a long-term vision for our Consumer Products & Retail technology capabilities at Publicis Sapient.

Qualifications
Your Skills and Experience:

• A strong track record in consulting organisations with proven experience of interfacing with and advising senior client stakeholders up to the C Level
• Experience in defining technology strategies for clients, with a focus on modern architectures (layered, headless, micro-services based, cloud-hosted)
• Technical management and delivery experience of globally distributed engineering teams of up to 50 people or more
• Strong presentation, client pitching skills and Agile Delivery experience
• Understanding of key Retail / Consumer Products business areas such as:
  • Online selling (web shop, mobile app, online payments, etc.)
  • Direct-to-Consumer & Marketplaces
  • Merchandising
  • Omnichannel logistics (home delivery, click & collect, returns, etc.)
  • In-store (POS systems, clientelling, etc.)
• A proven track record of delivering enterprise scale engineering transformation projects using contemporary technologies and methodologies such as:
  • Digital Customer Experience platforms
  • E-commerce Platforms
  • CMS, Search, PIM, DAM, OMS
  • Java, JavaScript and CSS, Typescript for large scale website development
  • DevSecOps/Automation (CI/CD) for large scale delivery
  • Architecture and design knowledge of Headless approaches, API gateways, Microservices, iPaaS / ETL / ESB, Databases, and Big Data platforms
  • Cloud platform architectures (Azure, GCP, AWS)
  • Salesforce technology such as Sales and Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Mulesoft, Heroku etc.
  • Big Data / Machine learning platforms
  • Quality Engineering
