About the job
Are you passionate about shaping a more sustainable future and would you like to play a key role in Vattenfall’s transition to cleaner energy? Do you want to help drive the development, construction, and operation of our offshore wind portfolio? Vattenfall is looking for a Senior Consent Manager to strengthen its Offshore Consenting team in Denmark.
The Offshore Consenting team is an international team with representation in all Vattenfall’s key markets. We are involved throughout the offshore wind value chain, from pre-tender, through the tendering phase, project delivery, and throughout the operational phase. We are responsible for securing permits for Vattenfall’s offshore wind portfolio, and for enabling permit compliance during project delivery and operations.

In Denmark, Vattenfall and its partners are operating 5 offshore wind farms, including the Vesterhav Nord and Syd projects that were fully commissioned this year. Beyond our current portfolio, we see significant potential for growth in this well-established and core offshore wind market.

As Senior Consent Manager in Offshore Wind, you will play a pivotal role in enabling our offshore wind projects in Denmark. You will act as a coordinator and problem solver within the organization, working together with different teams and disciplines. In addition, you will be a key contact person externally towards authorities. As Sr. Consent Manager you will have the opportunity to work across all stages of the project including project development, delivery and operations. Given our current portfolio composition in Denmark, the focus will be on enabling permit compliance for our operational assets.

Besides a strong content focus, a key part of the role will be to align with projects on their (future) needs and requirements, to proactively plan work and map resource needs, and to procure and manage flexible external (consultant) support as needed.

Your tasks may include:

Consenting Strategy

  • Analyse Consenting requirements, risks, and opportunities to support project selection;
  • Deliver and implement a Consenting Strategy in development projects to support bid preparation.

Obtain Consent

  • Understand, anticipate and communicate which permits, laws and regulations are applicable to our projects;
  • Ensure timely application for and receipt of permits needed to ensure our projects run smoothly.

Enable Consent Compliance

  • Actively track and manage our permit requirements and commitments;
  • Work with project teams and packages to enable full permit compliance of their respective scopes;
  • Engage with and report to permitting authorities (e.g. Energistyrelsen, Miljøstyrelsen, Søfartsstyrelsen) as required or beneficial to the project.

Steer Consent

  • Monitor and anticipate regulatory developments with a potential impact on our permits.
  • Contribute to regulatory developments directly through consultations, or via our industry associations or interest groups.
