Your role and responsibilities
As Bid Manager, Surveillance Radar, you will join a growing XENTA Bid team focusing on taking Weibel’s new Surveillance radars to the market. You will focus on B2B sales of Weibel’s solutions for SHORAD and C-UAS radars to System Integrators and Defence Primes.

The position will require a high level of self-drive and ownership of deliverables related to customer case handling, internal Stakeholder Management, RFI/RFQs and more. You will work in close collaboration with Weibel’s Sales Directors, System Engineers, Market Management, and Business Development.

Main responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing proposals from commencement of bid to a finalized contract
  • Responsible for supporting Sales in responding to RFIs and Market Surveys and ensuring timely delivery
  • Responsible for Surveillance Documentation Structure – develop, manage and maintain the structure in accordance with Sales Governance Processes
  • Maintain sales and product data by coordinating and collecting information across the organization to ensure all product- and other documentation is always up to date in the Surveillance Sales and Product database
  • Responsible for documentation management and control for proposals during and up to contract award
  • Support Sales and Bid Team in finalization of Bid packages for submission
  • Assist in making annual Surveillance Sales Analytics
  • Embed a strong sense of delivery accountability and a proactive risk and opportunity management culture for both ‘winability’ and ‘deliverability’ at all levels of the Bid team
  • Assist the Bid Team in the collation and creation of internal material/presentations needed for Bid Approval Boards
  • Be a part of the Bid Team in the development of bid/proposal win strategy and value proposition, ensuring proposals are aligned to prospective client requirements
  • Play an instrumental role in maintaining and updating all Surveillance Sales’ documentation for Sales and Bid Management in accordance with ISO9001

Travel of around 20 days per year can be expected.

Your qualifications and background
You have prior experience from a sales support function of technically advanced solutions to the defense industry. Experience with radars and surveillance systems will be considered an important advantage.

Our expectations:

  • A relevant educational background within engineering and/or business
  • Proven track record in Bid Management
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, global, and complex environment
  • Experience and/or strong interest in complex sales processes, preferably from a high-tech industry
  • Ability to prioritize and manage many immediate requests
  • Strong team player
  • English at negotiation level is a must (spoken and written)
