Lead Financial Controller

Join us in this role where you’ll be responsible for the financial controlling of highly complex legal entities in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, incl. controlling the monthly figures based on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), annual reports based on local Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and ensuring that processes and internal control descriptions are in place and well executed. In this role, you’ll work with complex accounting issues. You’ll play a significant role in process optimisation, aided by your significant experience in the field. In this role you’ll use your experience to ensure that our finances are handled in a professional and effective way.
Welcome to Financial Accounting & Controlling
You’ll be part of the Financial Controlling Nordics team where you, together with your colleagues, will ensure compliance and deliver high-quality and timely financial reporting to our internal and external stakeholders. You’ll also work closely with our auditors to ensure that documentation is delivered according to an agreed quality and in a timely manner. As a team, we support each other in solving complex accounting tasks. We make use of the individual skillsets in the team and ensure that all team members have challenging tasks.
You’ll play an important role in:
- ensuring efficient and compliant processes by driving continuous improvement in close collaboration with colleagues and management
- providing timely deliverables while delivering high-quality results to internal and external stakeholders
- driving and ensuring the implementation of our standard processes
- planning audits and maintaining a close dialogue with external auditors
- technical accounting controlling, incl. implementing and monitoring compliance, primarily with IFRS but also local GAAP accounting
- being a trusted collaborator for internal and external stakeholders and striving to leave the stakeholder with a good experience.
To succeed in the role, you:
- have a master’s degree in accounting, cand.merc.aud. or similar, and have started or completed your qualification as a state authorised public accountant
- have solid experience as an auditor, combined with some background in working in a controlling department in a large international company, and thrive in a changing environment
- have an analytical and logical approach to issues, as well as the ability to respond positively to feedback
- have excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, are results-oriented, set visible and relevant goals for your tasks, and are a problem-solver with a positive can-do attitude
- have deep knowledge of financial and accounting (IFRS and Danish GAAP)
- are detail-oriented and have the ability to handle the information you receive with a critical eye.
