Team Lead, Accounts Payable

You’ll be part of Financial Services Kuala Lumpur where you, together with your colleagues, will provide accounts payable services, process improvement, and month-end procedures for our stakeholders. You’ll play an important role in:
- hiring, training, and developing team members, as well as assigning tasks, setting goals, and providing guidance and support
- ensuring that the team operates efficiently, meets deadlines, and maintains a high level of accuracy and professionalism
- monitoring the performance of the accounts payable function, identifying bottlenecks or areas for improvement, and implementing changes accordingly
- analysing data to identify trends, discrepancies, or potential cost savings
- collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless processes and provide input and support for strategic initiatives
- ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to accounts payable.
To succeed in the role, you:
- have more than 5 years’ experience in end-to-end of accounts payable and at least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or team lead role
- have solid knowledge of accounts payable processes, accounting principles, and internal controls
- foster a positive work environment, motivate your team, and provide guidance and support when needed
- establish strong internal controls to mitigate risks and an prevent fraud or errors
- are proficient in SAP ERP
- seek opportunities for process optimisation, cost savings, and better utilisation of resources.
