Your Position
As a Buyer in our Renewables division, you will become a valuable member of our dedicated Procurement team for our office in Gdynia. You will be working strategically and operationally on procurement for large offshore substation projects worldwide, while also supporting the service department in achieving its objectives.

In this role, you will contribute to project success by implementing effective procurement practices, with a strong focus on data-driven decision-making and the use of ERP systems to optimize processes. You will also handle key administrative tasks such as maintaining data records, coordinating documentation, and ensuring procurement activities are properly tracked and reported. This position offers the opportunity to develop your purchasing skills in a large-scale project environment while contributing to meeting the world’s growing energy needs.

Your Tasks & Responsibilities
As a Buyer, your main responsibility will be to provide procurement support through effective communication and coordination with project team members, both internally and externally. A significant part of the role involves utilizing ERP systems and including data maintenance and making sure our data foundation is strong to optimize our procurement processes and make reporting easier.

Your tasks will include, but are not limited to:

  • Converting purchase requisitions into purchase orders through the Requisition-to-Pay process, with a strong focus on data quality and systematic use of ERP tools.
  • Methodically documenting all communications between Semco Maritime, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients in a well-organized and data-based system.
  • Expediting orders and ensuring invoices are accurately matched before payment.
  • Proactively identifying and managing any supply risks and opportunities through data-driven insights.
  • Ensuring the procurement process follows proper document templates and that all relevant data is accurately recorded in the system.
  • Receiving, registering, storing, and distributing all procurement-related documents and correspondence in the appropriate systems, with a focus on data security and accessibility.
  • Providing administrative support to the Procurement Manager, including data analysis and preparing reports based on the ERP system.

Your Profile & Qualifications
We are seeking a self-motivated buyer with high energy, who thrives in a dynamic project organization and has a passion for data structure and well organized. You have a strong service-oriented approach and enjoy daily communication with multiple stakeholders.

To succeed in this position, we envision that you have:

  • A relevant educational background.
  • Experience in buying and an interest in data structure.
  • Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
  • Experience with ERP systems and data analysis as part of the procurement process.
