As HSE Advisor within our NOV Flexibles team, Kalundborg you will maintain positive and proactive relations with key stakeholders and employees of the business by means of assisting with the ongoing day-to-day provision of HSE support, training and reporting functions of the site. You will work closely with shop floor operators to educate and train on all areas of risk and assist in the implementation and updating of the strategy to address identified key risk areas, communicating changes and process improvements by actively participating in formal and informal communication to increase and enhance the understanding and awareness of HSE issues.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure Compliance: Maintain adherence to company HSE policies and guidelines by facilitating communication between the shop floor and management regarding key risk areas.
- Promote Safety: Advocate for incident prevention to protect employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Coordinate HSE Processes: Manage and maintain internal HSE processes, including Permit to Work, Safenotes, inspections, PPE support, chemicals, safety meetings, and contractor introductions.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement enhancements to internal guidelines and work instructions to support continuous improvement.
- Educate and Train: Provide HSE risk education and training to employees in daily operations.
- Report and Record: Report on HSE process performance and improvement needs; record incidents and accidents in SafetyFlex, assist with investigations, and ensure corrective and preventive actions are followed up.
- Develop Training: Assist in creating and presenting relevant HSE training programs.
Main requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years in the HSE field, preferably within operations and manufacturing.
- Experience with relevant HSE software.
- Proficiency in English required for internal communication.
- Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment under tight deadlines and with incomplete information.
- Excellent time management capabilities, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule.
- Proactive and action-oriented approach, embracing challenges and consistently seeking out new opportunities.
- Outstanding professional communication skills, with the ability to confidently represent the company in both written and verbal interactions.
- A strong customer-focused mindset, with a commitment to understanding and meeting both internal and external customer needs
