About the position
As the Group Category Sourcing Manager, Electrical, Cable & Cable Management, you are responsible for executing the sourcing strategy within these categories.

About the categories. Electrical, covers products such as sockets, switches, outlets, cabinets, DIN-Rail products in general, and various products used for building automation. Cable & Cable Management covers products such as power- and installation cables, control cables, and cable support and routing systems. All important product-lines used in the ongoing green electrification.

You will act as the trader representing and supporting the supplier negotiations. Your objective is to obtain the best agreements and purchasing terms and conditions for Solar. In general, you also support the development of sourcing, as a discipline, within the entire category.

Sourcing is a balancing act. It is the process of requesting quotes for new products, planning, and carrying out supplier negotiations, maintaining and processing supplier information in our procurement software. It is about challenging lead times, payment terms, minimum order quantities etc.

Other responsibilities will include:

• Acting as the vendor agreement responsible in our procurement systems
• Supporting the category strategy with a specific sourcing strategy
• Focusing on and being responsible for COGS (Cost of Goods Sold)
• Vendor scouting
• Tenders
• Cross stocking (intercompany trading)

You report directly to the Group Sourcing Director.

Your profile
We are looking for a strong, decisive, and creative sourcing profile who harvests energy from negotiating daily. You must be able to perform well both in groups and individually.

Furthermore, we are looking for:

• Solid experience within the field of supply chain and sourcing
• Product Management and/or Category Management experience within the Cable area, is definitely a plus
• Affinity with technical products and willingness to travel occasionally
• Experience with tactical strategic purchasing processes
• Experience working within an international and cross functional team
