What You Will Do
As part of the Partner Bank Networks team, you will take a lead role in the development, operation, and evolution of Klarna’s integrations with partner banks. You will be responsible for:
- Leading the development and operation of systems that facilitate payments and collections.
- Maintaining stable integrations between Klarna and various banking partners.
- Proactively identifying and implementing improvements to system design and tooling for bank operations teams.
- Solving integration issues, handling exceptional cases, and ensuring smooth, scalable operations.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful deliveries.
- Mentoring less experienced engineers and contributing to the overall growth of the team.
You will play a crucial role in ensuring Klarna’s systems remain a reliable and unified interface between Klarna and its partner banks.
Who You Are
- Proven experience with Erlang + OTP (Elixir experience is considered, but with a preference for switching to Erlang).
- Familiarity with Postgres, Kafka, and AWS is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to challenge the status quo and drive transformation within systems and processes.
- Strong communication skills, capable of efficiently collaborating with stakeholders and leading team projects.
- Experience working in complex environments with a focus on simplifying operations.
- A proactive leader with a passion for mentoring and driving team success.
Awesome to Have
- Experience building scalable, reliable payment and collection systems.
- Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure and tools like AWS.
