About the Job:
Alfa Laval is a strong and growing organization experiencing increasing demand from the Protein extraction industry. Therefore, we are looking for a new colleague dedicated to the engineering and supply of complete process plants for processing meat, fish, vegetables, and insects for food grade protein extraction. The Technical Project Manager will support projects globally all around the world.

The Technical Project Manager serves as the Engineering Manager for projects, assuming overall technical responsibility from the project's inception through to its completion. This role places you at the core of producing sustainable food for the future. You'll become an integral part of a global network of professionals and engage deeply with various engineering disciplines, ensuring that each day is dynamic and fulfilling.

In the short term, your focus will be on understanding the processes we employ and the tools we use for project execution. You'll also become well-versed in the industry-specific processes and equipment within Agro & Protein, and you'll gain a better understanding of the team of engineers.

Looking ahead to the long term, you will play an essential role in successfully delivering Agro & Protein projects, ensuring they meet all specifications.

Key Tasks:

• Coordinate and align all engineering disciplines to ensure consistency in technical solutions.
• Ensure that projects are executed using the latest standards and best practices.
• Ensure that project engineers follow the workflows and guidelines in the Quality Management System (QMS).
• Ensure consistent engineering quality through document reviews and engineering verification.
• Consolidate learnings from project execution and facilitate knowledge sharing within relevant industries.
• Participate in external meetings with customers and suppliers to discuss/clarify process issues and engineering activities.

It is key that you possess excellent Judgment & Decision-Making skills, are capable of effectively leading both yourself and others, and have technical acumen, a strong drive for results, and a keen ability to learn. Key Qualities:

• Strong mechanical and process engineering background.
• An understanding of electrical engineering and automation of process plants is an advantage.
• Experience in the food industry and its processes.
• Capacity to coordinate a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
• Project Management experience is an advantage.
• Understanding and interest on quality management and engineering verification tools and processes.
• The ability to thrive in an international environment.

Requirements:

• M. Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering
• 5-10 years of experience in project execution for the food process industry.
• Knowledge of and experience with directives and standards applicable in the food process industry.
• We are open to considering applicants who have gained significant technical expertise in another industry.
• English at a high level, both orally and in writing.

The job will be in Søborg, and there will be approximately 20 travel days per year.
