Semco Maritime, a multinational company in the offshore wind projects industry, is looking for an Offshore Substation Low Voltage (LV) Lead Engineer who will be responsible for managing the Low Voltage (LV) system design of an offshore substation. The ideal candidate should have a relevant technical education and experience as a marine engineer or electrical engineer, with practical experience working on similar solutions and installations. Main job tasks:
You will be part of the value chain, interfacing with multiple disciplines and working on technical solutions ranging from project development to supporting design and development execution throughout all phases of the projects.

Your key duties will include:

  • In charge of delivering on technical design on time and quality
  • Responsible to manage the document delivery in project for the Low Voltage (LV) system, which includes Low Voltage (LV) Switchboards, UPS/DC systems, Light Distribution, Small Power, Lightning Protection Earthing/Bonding, Heat Tracing and Cableways from early start throughout construction phase of the EPC projects
  • Ensure and report document progress & achieving milestones for the Low Voltage (LV) scope of work within our EPC and Product line projects
  • Develop and keep technical requirements and specifications up to date with inputs from internal and external stakeholders
  • Help shape the culture within the team and organization
  • Responsible for design, time schedules, procurement and some part of commissioning of Low Voltage (LV) systems in EPC projects.
  • Manage suppliers, negotiations, and contracts in cooperation with the procurement department.
  • Attend FAT, SAT, commissioning, and handover of Low Voltage (LV) projects to clients and their O&M organizations.
  • Provide consultancy tasks.
  • Develop, optimize and standardize technical solutions.
  • Participate in FEED/feasibility studies.

Qualification / Experience:
To excel in this role, you should have a degree or graduation in Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field with a focus on electrical work. You must be capable of managing projects, ensuring they stay on time and within budget while also motivating your team. Additionally, you should have a proactive, analytical, and organized approach to your assignments. Given the complexity of the projects you'll be handling, you must have the ability to navigate through them and understand the various interfaces and stakeholders involved.

The Practical stuff:
You have the freedom to choose whether you want to work from our offices in Gdynia, Poland or Copenhagen and Esbjerg in Denmark. As part of this job, you may be required to travel up to 30 days a year. Additionally, you may have the option to work from home on certain days during the month.
