Manufacturing> Blades Manufacturing> Tooling Concept & Validation

PE Blades is a global function within the Manufacturing and Blades segment organization. The function is responsible for delivery of our manufacturing production design, including special projects develop of processes and tooling for the blades. Join our dynamic Tooling Concept & Validation department, responsible for creating and delivering blade production tools for Vestas Blades projects. Our team of 18 multicultural engineers and specialists is expanding, and we're looking for new colleagues to join us at our locations in Lem, Nakskov, and the Isle of Wight. For the right candidates, positions are also available in Aarhus and Porto.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop innovative tooling solutions for new Vestas blade products through early and close collaboration with R&D, our product development teams, our global blades manufacturing sites and, and external suppliers.
  • Delivering the right and timely engineering support to our Technology Transfer projects.
  • Prioritize safety in our development in accordance and collaboration with HS&E colleagues and policy.
  • Ensure robust validation of new tools through structured FAT and SAT execution.
  • Deliver the most reliable, efficient, and cost-effective solutions with top performance.
  • Conduct risk assessments using relevant FMEA tools.

Qualifications:

  • Having Safety as your priority no. 1
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering.
  • Experience in the design, development, and commissioning of manufacturing equipment.
  • Proficiency in Design for Six Sigma, green or black belt.
  • Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing and measurement systems.
  • Experience with DFMEA and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • EU Driver’s license

  • Structured mindset with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage technical projects across departments and cultures, meeting deadlines.
  • Problem-solving skills using relevant methods and tools.
  • Ability to work with complex solutions involving tools, processes, and materials.
  • Understand the matrix setup and how to navigate in an matrix organisation
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
