Vestas Technology & Operations is where new product ideas are developed, matured, improved, and tested. Within R&D, you'll find our department, Tower Quality and lifecycle management, as part of Tower R&D.
The Tower Module is responsible for the development and maintenance of the comprehensive Vestas tower program. Our tasks encompass:

  • Structural development and engineering
  • Tool development
  • Project management
  • Highly specialized FEM calculations
  • Requirement’s specification
  • DFMEA
  • Test planning and execution
  • Risk assessments
  • Compilation of certification documentation

Tower Quality and Lifecycle Management operates as a sub-module within the Tower Module. Our department is focused on improving quality consistently throughout the tower value chain, ensuring constant efforts in cost management and the effective deployment of governance and tools.

Responsibilities
As a Cost-Out Specialist, you will:

  • Lead the tower cost-out program. Develop a comprehensive cost-out strategy, including a roadmap, and establish a robust pipeline encompassing technical, commercial, and value chain aspects
  • Maintain continuous awareness of add-ons, cost-ins, and mitigation measures across all platforms and projects
  • Monitor and report progress, escalating any issues to the Module leadership and Steerco/Convention
  • Integrate new technology and module development into the cost-out release vehicle
  • Ensure consistency in the interpretation and implementation of principles and cornerstones
  • Offer guidance to global procurement and sub-modules
  • Provide inputs for cost performance and tracking. Support the cost-out team in building and maintaining the cost-out database framework, as well as in all data pulls and analyses

Qualifications

  • An academic degree in business, finance, engineering, or a related field
  • A minimum of 10 years of overall experience, including at least 5 years in a similar position
  • Good techno-commercial knowledge and comprehensive business understanding
  • Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in data-driven decision-making
  • Demonstrated ability in significant stakeholder management, including effective communication with senior management
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies, such as SCRUM, and experience with JIRA

Your work location will be our office in Aarhus, Denmark.
Up to 15 travel days per year.
