About the role

Over the past year, the equipment Strategy Team has played a key role in developing equipment transformation tech and process plan alongside the platform, tech, and regional organisation. We've focused on improving equipment management through technology and standardized processes, laying the groundwork for our plans in 2024.To sustain progress, we need to focus more on outlining long-term plans that align with our 2030 integrator strategy, and this is where you come in.

In this role you will be responsible for conceptualization, testing, and alignment of multi-year plans with leadership focused on an integrated digital environment for container equipment flow management, building upon the developments planned in 2024. You will be accountable for strategic cross-functional initiatives aimed at driving CAPEX improvements and standardization of processes. You will provide support and validation for underlying logic and policy creation when deploying new tools, process, or capabilities that enable better container flow management and are responsible for ensuring that any new development meets business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Initiative Development: Develop strong, data-backed proposals in the form of memos or other relevant tools to support the transformation of equipment management through technology-based processes and tool development for the coming years.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with platform, tech, and community teams to manage live initiatives, ensuring data-driven and controlled equipment supply planning mechanisms are developed, tested, and implemented on time.
  • Project Ownership: Where relevant, drive specific initiatives from ideation through implementation using project management methodologies, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
  • Holistic Integrator Mindset: Think beyond equipment and adopt an integrator viewpoint, engaging with relevant tech and business teams to support innovation, ideation, and drive transformation

What are we looking for

  • Self-Starter: Demonstrated ability to ask critical questions, seek feedback, and proactively drive solutions.
  • Domain Experience: Strong experience in shipping, supply chain management, logistics, or container flow is preferred, but a willingness to learn is essential.
  • Communication Skills: Proficient in English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of influencing at all levels.
  • Project Management: Proven success in project-driven environments, demonstrating strong planning, execution, and communication abilities.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Adept at collaborating with diverse and challenging stakeholders, including the ability to lead cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive decision-making without full clarity, supported by excellent interpersonal skills to gain senior stakeholder buy-in.
  • Data & Business Analytical Skills: Strong data and business analytics skills to extract insights and inform decisions, creating clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think and plan long-term, aligning with broader organizational goals and strategies.
