The position
As our new colleague, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust manufacturing processes for the metal components used in our drug delivery system. You will use a risk-based approach to ensure the safety of our products and ultimately our patients. Below you can find a detailed overview of the kind of responsibilities that you can expect in this role:

  • Developing and maintaining, in collaboration with product owners, assembly, QA and suppliers, the right technical solutions based on a well-documented set of requirements.
  • supporting the validation of manufacturing processes based on the requirements that are critical to the quality of the produced metal components.
  • using analytical methods to identify root causes e.g., LEAN SPS to unexpected events or deviations from specifications, providing solutions to the issues and implementing relevant preventive measures.
  • reviewing the design of new metal device components and challenging specifications based on manufacturing capabilities.

You will also be part of the global support of Novo Nordisk manufacturing lines. Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you need to have:

  • A master’s degree in a relevant Engineering area, such as Mechanical, Materials/Metallurgical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Preferably 2-3 years of working experience in the development of manufacturing processes for metal components. However, if you are newly educated and find metals as fascinating as we do, do not hesitate to apply for this position.
  • Familiarity with change control, documentation requirements and risk-based approach within medical device production or has relevant experience from similar industries. If not, we will ensure proper training opportunities for you.
  • A continuous improvement and quality mindset.
  • Experience with LEAN and systematic problem solving (this is an advantage but not a requirement)
  • Availability for up to 20 travel days a year
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English.

As an individual, you have effective communication skills, an outgoing personality, and the ability to form and maintain relationships with stakeholders across and beyond the organization. Also, you are great at engaging and managing stakeholders and have a strong ability to follow through and have a keen appreciation of quality. Additionally, you enjoy sharing your knowledge, providing support for your colleagues when they need it.

About the department
Device Manufacturing Development (DMD) is responsible for the manufacturing development of all devices and packaging-related processes. We explore new technologies, including robotics, for future production and operate a production unit for clinical production and process optimization. We take great pride in our diverse and talented team, where over 700 dedicated employees from more than 48 different nationalities work together to achieve our goals and drive change.

You will be joining a team of highly skilled colleagues in an international environment in Novo Nordisk DMD facility in Hillerød. In close collaboration with our suppliers, we are developing the equipment and processes that transform great designs into actual products for our patients, bridging the gap between development departments and the production lines.

Finished Product Manufacturing (FPM) is a part of Novo Nordisk Product Supply, a global production network at the forefront of technology and quality production of pharmaceutical products.
