The Position
We are looking for an experienced Senior Quality Control Professional to join our Future QC Project, with anchor in our QC Processes department. The department has the responsibility to secure that our new facility will live up to all requirements and to accommodate the future automation within QC testing.

As a team player with experience within laboratory equipment you will play a key role by putting your know-how into use and help us build new critical processes across all Future QC departments. You will be part of finalizing the design of the layout of the future laboratories together with end-users and specialists.

Your daily tasks will be:

  • Participate in a highly important project of preparing the move from existing facilities to these new facilities.
  • Supervise facility design to support the chemical analysis.
  • Collect, structure, and visualise the required data to support selection of designs and equipment solutions.
  • Develop and optimize the processes in Future QC, and plan/facilitate workshops.
  • Qualification of equipment that needs to move or be purchased. Relevant experience in verification activities and documentation (FAT, SAT, IQ, and OQ).
  • Collaborate closely with the project manager for the chemistry laboratories.

Moreover, you will be expected to identify challenges and secure the necessary agreements/clarifications with stakeholders such as architects, consulting engineers, suppliers, end-users, QA, regulatory and IT. This also entails being curious about how other teams and departments work, both within and outside Novo Nordisk.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following qualifications:

  • A Master’s degree in Natural Sciences, Engineering or similar, preferably with 3+ years of experience from a QC function in the pharmaceutical industry or;
  • A laboratory technician background with extensive knowledge within laboratory processes and documentation.
  • Experience with qualifying laboratory equipment and/or facility areas/processes.
  • A strong Lean-methodology toolbox, combined with a natural passion for doing things smarter and a project management experience to enable a structured approach.
  • Proven track record of experience in GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
  • Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English with a natural ability to establish new relationships across teams and departments.
  • Knowledge of Danish is preferred.

On a personal level you possess strong collaboration skills, and the ability to set direction and motivate less experienced colleagues. You have the right quality mindset, dare to challenge our way of working and are known for your ability to identify improvements, as well as taking the lead for driving the implementation of these improvements.

About the department
The Future QC Project will build a multi-functional QC laboratory at Novo Nordisk located on Zealand and be the future workplace for many QC colleagues. In the Project both Joint Facilities, Chemistry and Microbiological QC laboratories will be established, as well as development laboratories within these areas.
