The position
As our new department assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring administrative processes are running smoothly and effectively across the area and providing support to our management team on various tasks. This support is a much valued part of ensuring that we can prioritise our time and gain synergies in our journey of growth.

Your main tasks will be:

  • Providing support to our management team in relation to e.g. approval flows, maintaining department folders and drives, drafting announcements, handling expense reports etc.
  • Plan off-sites and book venues for various events
  • Administrative onboarding tasks and coordination of training activities
  • Providing limited support to employees as go to person for support including on guidance to systems and NN processes
  • Training coordinator and assigning training to employees according to NN guidelines and processes

You will be the only department assistant in the area so you should enjoy taking ownership on tasks and working independently. You will be reporting to the head of Business Support, but you will be working closely with all managers in GSOD and our sister-CVP area Strategic Sourcing Inbound Materials and Services. Hence you should expect to connect with a broad range of people and activities at the same time.

Qualifications
We're seeking candidates who fulfil the following prerequisites:

  • Relevant educational background
  • 2+ years’ experience from an administrative role or similar
  • Flair for IT, extensive knowledge of SuccessFactors and MS365 is considered an advantage
  • Professional proficiency in both spoken and written English

As a person you are proactive and enjoy working independently with high attention for details and excellent coordination skills. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and have a keen eye for opportunities of development and improvement of processes. Having many ongoing tasks with varying deadlines is natural to you and you thrive with many varied actions. You pride yourself in your collaborative and service-minded approach and enjoys building strong relationships with your colleagues, actively contributing to a positive work environment.

About the department
Global Strategic Outsourcing & Devices (GSOD) is one of two direct sourcing units in Product Supply. We support Novo Nordisk growth by working strategically with Product Supply’s direct spend. Through collaboration with our international CMO and supplier networks, we ensure availability of the capacity needed to develop and manufacture products that helps millions of people around the world to live with chronical diseases.

We are currently located in Novo Nordisk Headquarter in Bagsværd but expect to move to Novo Nordisk’s new site in Taastrup at the end of 2024.

The new role is anchored in the newly established Business Support team in GSOD, which is a staff function that secures progress on cross-unit organizational strategies and initiatives as well as responds to requests and direction set by surrounding functions with respect to strategy, compliance, communication, process optimizations, budgets, and the like.
