The position
You will report to the Senior Manager of the CMC Finance & Supply Chain team, which consists of 6 engaged colleagues. The team develops and drives financial management within operational costs and manning and is also responsible for project controlling of CMC costs in R&D projects. Further, the team is responsible for the Supply Chain agenda across CMC.

As a Senior Finance Partner, your responsibilities include:

  • Designing and operating the annual financial wheel of budgeting and reporting on research and development costs, including planning, and executing budget updates, and ensuring transparency and understanding of changes between budget rounds.
  • Delivering high-quality insights and forecasting to support business decisions and actions.
  • Driving value creation by linking finance activities to business priorities, ensuring the connection between business plans, activities, and optimal resource allocation, and delivering trusted finance business partnering to support strategic decision-making.
  • Steering the integration of capacity investments to operational budgets and ensuring the link between finance and the supply and demand outlook for the R&D pipeline.

Finally, you will be involved in the optimisation of core financial processes in the financial annual wheel, which require a well-established experience to aid in the financial management.

The position offers a steep learning curve with plenty of exciting opportunities to make an impact, where you will help ensure strong financial tracking and the development of your Financial Planning & Analysis and stakeholder management capabilities.

The position is based in Bagsværd but will have stakeholders in other Novo Nordisk locations in the area.

Qualifications
To succeed in this role you hold a Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting (cand.merc., cand.oecon., cand.polit or similar) with at least 4-5 years of work experience within finance, preferably in a similar setting. Furthermore, you possess:

  • A good understanding of financial management and controlling; experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) is an advantage.
  • Experience with BI tools (Tableau, PowerBI, etc.) and SAP is an advantage, but not a prerequisite; however, a willingness to explore and work with these tools is needed.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency in both oral and written English.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.

You are known for your structured and analytical approach, attuned to business dynamics and capable of independently driving tasks and projects forward persistently. About the department
As part of Novo Nordisk PSQIT organisation, Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control (CMC) Development & Scaling makes a real difference for patients with chronic diseases across the world. We develop, manufacture and distribute drug candidates for clinical trials and have a strong culture with a “can do” mind-set.

The CMC Finance & Supply Chain team is anchored in CMC Executive Office, where we deliver high quality support towards the senior management in CMC. We have a high focus on continuously improving individual and team competencies with a clear focus of people development.
