The position
In the Vision area of Global Intralogistics & Future Operational Technology our goal is to utilize vision technology to improve and automate processes in Novo Nordisk production. We work with traditional rule-based machine vision systems, primarily in the form of control stations on our production lines, as well as ML and AI based vision solutions. Most of our vision solutions are in the traditional domain; however, you will also be involved in explorative and development projects focusing on ML/AI vision solutions to automate manual work processes in the production.

Your main tasks will include:

  • Help design machine vision solution for new production lines together with our suppliers
  • Develop new vision systems to improve our existing processes
  • Collaborate globally with our production sites and engage in technical discussions with production sites, process experts and suppliers
  • Explore new technologies by making Proofs of Concept (PoCs) to prove and test solutions

Qualifications
We are looking for someone with an innovative and solution-oriented mindset and extensive experience within vision technology - both rule-based machine vision as well as AI and Machine Learning based vision solutions. Ideally you have experience within both hardware (lighting, cameras, sensors) and software.

You will be working with people from various departments in the organization, both local and international, therefore you must be outgoing and ready to take the lead on finding opportunities for implementation. Your communication and interpersonal skills will be key to your success in the role.

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering
  • A strong technical background within vision technology
  • Experience from similar role
  • Experience from the pharmaceutical industry is an advantage, but not a prerequisite
  • Fluent in English, both oral and written.

Global Intralogistics & Future Operational Technology is a growing department, within Device Manufacturing Development, consisting of highly skilled people in the domain of robotics and operational technology. We are an innovative department who strive to meet the complex needs of Novo Nordisk production facilities and stay at the forefront of manufacturing technology.
