Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or IT-related field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in Technical Program Management.
  • Experience in working with business stakeholders, requirements analysis and proposing solutions

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in construction of high tech facilities.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills with advanced verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on tact and diplomacy.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. In this role you will analyze Google Data Centers (GDC) strategic initiatives to develop a comprehensive approach to program controls. You will liaise with GDC leaders, construction Program Managers and vendors to ensure effective standardization, implementation and adherence to the construction Agreement.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a global program controls approach that is flexible, effective, efficient, and responsive to stakeholders as well as executive leadership reporting needs.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on data center construction program controls (cost, schedule).
  • Work with the site Program Manager to ensure programs are in alignment with the overarching MARCUS strategy.
  • Optimize current processes via Lean principles to ensure processes are effective, efficient and streamlined.
  • Balance both tactical and strategic issues concurrently, and taking a leadership role in working with peers, managers, internal stakeholders, and executives of Google and Supplier Partners.
