COWI is looking for an IT Server Administrator to join Group IT. You will become a part of our Infrastructure team located in Denmark and Lithuania. Group IT supports 8,000 COWI users in 50 sites around the world. We operate a challenging IT environment, where the IT and technologies we support are constantly developing with the needs of our engineering business. COWI is growing in many business areas including digital solutions, which requires Group IT to extend our support for both classical on-prem technologies, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps.

You will work out of our office in Lyngby providing server expertise in daily operations and be part of an infrastructure team with strong values and very close collaboration across borders. Every team member is responsible for specific technical areas, depending on skills and interests. Responsibilities come with a high degree of autonomy and trust. We touch base daily - both formal and informally - within the team.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Perform 2nd and 3rd-level support within your technical areas
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on the technical issues at hand
  • Ensure all systems are documented, kept current and secure
  • Participate in the continuous maintenance and improvement of our IT infrastructure including the security posture

To succeed in this position, you should have excellent analytical skills, be service-minded, attentive to details, open to new technical challenges and able to collaborate effectively across borders.

We expect:

  • 5 years of experience in a distributed enterprise infrastructure environment
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft based server infrastructure including AD, AAD, DNS, DHCP, GPO, DFS, etc.
  • Experience with VMware and Hyper-V hypervisors
  • Hands-on experience working in enterprise server rooms and data centres
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English; Danish language skills are a valued addition.
  • If you have an experience in, or knowledge about some of the following areas it’s an advantage: PowerShell, enterprise security practices, Azure/AWS/GCP, PAM, common storage platforms, DevOps, Infrastructure-as-a-Service, Linux based systems
