At the Danish Polymer Centre we seek a tenure-track researcher in polymer and silicone chemistry. You must have extensive silicone and coating chemistry knowledge and relevant industrial experience in these topics.

Then the Danish Polymer Centre is looking for you! We seek a tenure-track researcher in polymer and silicone chemistry to join a dynamic research environment.

Responsibilities and qualifications
Your overall focus will be strengthening the Centre’s competencies within polymer and silicone chemistry. We are looking for a highly motivated researcher who can work independently and in collaboration with colleagues and has excellent oral and written English skills. You should strive towards scientific excellence and be ambitious and hard-working.

You must be an expert in silicone chemistry, and silicone chemistry should preferably be the topic of your PhD degree. You must possess extensive coating chemistry knowledge and relevant industrial experience in these topics. You can synthesize coatings for harsh environments and are skilled in their characterization and evaluation for advanced applications.

Tasks include synthesizing and preparing silicone polymers and advanced chemical characterization. You must be an experienced organic/polymer chemist with extensive experience with characterization methods such as NMR, IR, DSC, TGA, SEC, etc.

You will be involved in the supervision of bachelor's, master's, and Ph.D. students.

You must contribute to the teaching of courses. DTU employs two working languages: Danish and English. You are expected to be fluent in at least one of these languages, and in time are expected to master both.

As formal qualification you must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent).

You will be assessed against the responsibilities and qualifications stated above and the following general criteria:

Salary and terms of employment
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed upon with the relevant union.
