We are now looking for an additional colleague to join us as Assistant Controller within the Health & Medical (HM) Business Unit.

About the role
In this role you will work in a small (but mighty) team with reporting and consolidation, financial planning and follow-up, as well as administrative tasks e.g. related to master data governance.
You will also have a lot of contact with the controllers in the business regions, making sure to build up relationships and provide excellent support.
The role is based in Gothenburg, and will report to the Controlling Director, based in Gothenburg.
Examples of tasks
- Follow up - Support deviation and target analysis to secure accurate and transparent understanding of costs for the BU.
- Financial planning – Support the team in the financial planning process including forecast and budget.
- Responsible for master data governance in relation to Essity’s consolidation system
- Responsible for monthly and quarterly closing tasks
- Responsible for providing stakeholders with reports and analysis.
Who You Are
You are in the beginning of your career, maybe just graduated from university. We are looking for an Assistant Controller who has strong collaboration and communication skills; it comes natural for you to create relationships in an efficient way with people on different levels of the organization. You are proactive and self-driven and have a structured approach to your work but can also bring out your creative side and challenge status quo.
You have:
- University Degree in Finance/Economics or similar.
- Full professional proficiency in English (reading and writing).
- Good knowledge of MS Office/Excel
- Sound financial understanding & good accounting know-how.
- High analytical skills, and ability to pay attention to details.
- A structured way of working and ability to prioritize.
