PEAK Wind is looking for a technical professional to assume the position as Site Manager for our onshore assets in the Alberta, Canada.

Site Manager for a Portfolio of Renewable Energy Assets in Alberta
Reporting to the Portfolio Operations Manager, you will serve as Site Manager for a ~494MW wind farm near Lomond, Alberta.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate all operations and facilities within PEAK Wind’s scope, focusing on HSE best practices, profitability, and performance.
  • Manage HV facilities including monitoring and control activities in substations.
  • Develop and maintain the preventative maintenance programme to minimise unscheduled outages and ensure reliability.
  • Oversee contractor management on schedule, technical and performance topics, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure timely and accurate stakeholder reporting on production, availability, technical issues, HSE and report technical matters to senior management.
  • Collaborate with the wider PEAK Wind Asset Management team to develop new solutions and improvement initiatives.
  • Implement and improve site procedures, policies, training, safety programs, and work practices, ensuring compliance.
  • Promote and uphold PEAK Wind safety and performance culture.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships with local stakeholders and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Track and manage warranty claims and corrective actions.
  • Ensure quality assurance and oversee service providers.

Best-in-class Site Manager with a Strong Operational Focus
We are looking for a proactive, adaptive, and result-driven professional with a technical or operational engineering background to take on the role as Site Manager.

Ideally, a successful candidate would have the following attributes:

  • Leadership experience in power generation, renewable energy, or a similar industry, including managing third-party service providers.
  • Technical qualifications or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of REDA, ISO, OSHA, and EGP standards with relevant training certificates.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar role with field experience in onshore wind projects or renewable operational infrastructure assets.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and site equipment (WTGs, High Voltage/Substation, SCADA, PPE).
  • Ability to travel on short notice and work flexible hours, including weekends and nights.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly synthesize complex issues.
  • Excellent communication skills with an outgoing personality, able to work independently and under pressure.
  • Residence within 100 miles of one of the portfolio’s asset locations.
  • Ability to climb towers > 400ft.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Canadian citizen or valid Canadian Work Permit.

The portfolio is located in and around Lomond, Alberta, and this role is site-based with potential nationwide travel depending on stakeholder requirements.
