The position
As our new Automation Engineering Responsible you will be participating in the design, commissioning and qualification of automation solutions for various production systems in a new facility, including vessels, filtration systems, CIP, and chromatographic systems.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence the development of these systems and gain valuable insight into work processes and procedures for implementing new systems.
Furthermore, the Automation Engineering Responsible will be expected to carry out practical tasks and prepare documentation, which may include developing qualification documentation as well as producing documentation in English.
Qualifications
You have a higher academic or technical education within IT, automation, engineering, or similar supplemented with 2-5+ years of professional experience from:
- automation solutions for productions systems
- unit operations, e.g. separation processes and organic chemical reactions
- qualification of systems (GMP)
- process Control Systems (PCS), e.g. Sattline, DeltaV, 800xA
Fluent in English, both written and spoken, willingness to learn Danish would be advantageous.

The work we do is performed and documented in accordance with GMP, hence it is expected that you have a structural approach to your work and can plan and complete your tasks accordingly.
You succeed by being visible, communicative and independent. It is equally important that you have process understanding and have great relations to our peers who are the project organisation, pilot facilities, QA, external suppliers and colleagues within the organisation.
About the department
As part of Novo Nordisk PSQIT organisation, Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control (CMC) Development & Scaling makes a real difference for patients with chronic diseases across the world. We develop, manufacture and distribute drug candidates for clinical trials and have a strong culture with a “can do” mind-set.
The project department is organised within CMC API Pilots, that will own and operate the new facilities. We are a department with approx. 85 employees, who are responsible for completing the major investment project to expand our API production capacity for new pharmaceutical candidates for clinical trials in Novo Nordisk. CMC API Pilot is part of CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing & Control) Development & Scaling manufactures and controls new drug substance candidates for the development portfolio at Novo Nordisk.
