FIDIC Contract Manager

Main principal duties:

  • Contract Management of EPC Contracts signed under the terms and conditions of FIDIC Yellow Book
  • In collaboration with the Project Management Team identify, assess and manage contract risks with a focus on commercial risks
  • Secure that contract obligations from Employer’s contracts are cascading down to procurement contracts.
  • Evaluate claims against contractual obligations, coordinate and document findings
  • Claim management
  • Draft and negotiate contract variations,
  • Review and negotiate contract amendments
  • Coordinate with Cost Control and Finance to ensure proper cost accounting, invoicing and milestone payments
  • Prepare management reports on the status of project contracts
  • Interface and coordinate with internal and external project team members and document communication between the company, subcontractors, suppliers and clients
  • Identify potential improvements to existing policies and contract standards
  • Apply best practices for lessons learned to ensure experience exchange and capability building for other Contract Managers and Procurement staff

Obligatory requirements:
The successful candidate must fulfil the following criteria:

  • Min. 3 years of Contract Management experience in construction projects
  • Specific knowledge and experience with FIDIC standard contracts (Red and/or Yellow Book)
  • International business experience
  • Knowledge of different business cultures
  • Solid negotiation skills
  • Min. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Contract Management, or Law
  • Fluency in English, min. C1

Optional requirements:

  • Previous experience in the Energy Sector preferably the offshore wind industry will be a huge asset
  • Experience within the Procurement Department
  • Knowledge of procurement contracts: purchase, consultancy and service agreements, NDAs
  • Knowledge of FIDIC White Book
  • Knowledge of German/UK or US Law
